Katie ThompsonStylist, Keratin Complex Smoothing Specialist, Color Specialist
There are some things in life I have always been sure of. One: a girl can never own too many accessories. Two: a smile can change anyone’s day. Three: making people feel beautiful on the inside and out is what I am meant to do. Before I decided to attend cosmetology school, I knew whatever I did in life had to be geared around people and their well being. I always had a desire to do hair, even before I knew what I was doing. Just ask my mom who had to scrub the kitchen and bathroom of all my color experiments. I’ve found that this industry is more than beauty and hair. It is about making someone feel special the second they sit in my chair. I love keeping up on the latest trends and seeing how they can fit in my life and others. Education is never ending in this industry and I plan on taking every opportunity to ensure my skills and knowledge are always being sharpened.
Katie graduated from The California Academy, a Paul Mitchell Partner School, where she spent her time there learning the value of saying “yes” to every opportunity and that there is never a time in one’s career or life where they have learned it all. She also completed her Sassoon ABC Cutting certification at Sassoon Academy Santa Monica. Education, passion, creativity and attention to detail are Katie’s core values. Building upon these fundamentals, she feels that anything is possible. Katie is excited to continue to practice and grow those values at Salon Bravissimo.

Art VallesMaster Stylist - Independent
Being a hairdresser for over 25 years, there is one thing I know for sure. There is nothing more rewarding than creating beauty. I was born in Texas and moved to California at a young age. I attended beauty college at Sacramento City College. That’s where I began to open my eyes to all I could look forward to in my future. The Vidal Sassoon training of precision and creativity I received early in my career through work with Max Papier and Silvia Slade has guided my work throughout my life. As I have grown in this industry, I pursued advanced education from Tony and Guy to Trevor Sorbie. Traveling the world for inspiration, I have attended and completed master hair color classes from Goldwell International and Wella to further understand the chemistry and artistry of hair color. I will continue to seek out new and exciting ideas to bring my clients through education. Knowledge is power!
With my partner in life and work, my wife Tammy and I created and owned an award winning salon “California Concept” for over 18 yrs, where we enjoyed training our staff in haircutting, hair color, and all aspects of our business. Now that I am at Salon Bravissimo I am determined to continue my passion for hair. Working at Salon Bravissimo is both exciting and fun, and the atmosphere is professional and inspiring.

Behnaz AzargamMaster Stylist - Independent
My passion in the beauty industry started at age 5 when I realized that I loved to play with my dolls’ hair. After not being satisfied with the dolls’ hairstyle, I decided to cut it and style it to my own liking. After not having any more dolls to give “makeovers”, my next clients were my 2 sisters. I gave them a new hairstyle every day from my own imagination. Not only did I give my sisters new hairstyles, but also designed and made clothes for them to compliment their new look. After receiving my university degree in Child Psychology and working in the field for many years, I realized that my true passion was in the creative arts, specifically cosmetology. By working in the beauty industry for over 20 years, I have developed many great relationships with industry professionals and most importantly, wonderful clients who give me the satisfaction to come to work each day. Salon Bravissimo’s management and staff, along with the fantastic, professional, and artistic work environment, inspires me to be more creative and passionate for my art.
Behnaz received her cosmetology license from the Carmichael Beauty School and completed her apprenticeship at the Paragon Salon and Spa. She received advanced haircutting education from Trevor Sorbie International, Toni & Guy, Vidal Sassoon Academy Santa Monica, and Vidal Sassoon Academy London. Not only is Behnaz a master stylist, she is also a skilled esthetician. She received her education from Sothys Paris at their Miami academy. Her passion for skin beauty led her to pursue the art of derma pigmentation (permanent makeup). After receiving her certification from the Beau Visage Academy, Behnaz advanced her training by attending the Permanent Cosmetic Clinic with Linda Wood and is now a master in the technique of pain free methods of permanent cosmetics. Behnaz also completed her certified training in infection control and blood borne pathogens. She is also a member of the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals (SPCP). Behnaz continues to travel to learn new techniques and skills to advance her hair cutting, hair coloring, and permanent makeup education.
